Protected Landscape Area of Křivoklátsko
Křivoklátsko area covers the vast territory spread on the two banks of the Berounka river between towns of Rakovník, Kladno, Beroun, Zbiroh. The total area of the protected landscape is 625 km2.
For its natural and historic value, Křivoklátsko was declared Protected Landscape Area in the Czech Republic and a UNESCO International Biosphere Sanctuary in 1978. (UNESCO, United Nations educational Scientific and Cultural Organization).
